It is a solenoid shut-off valve for non-aggressive gases of the 3 families (dry gases). This solenoid valve is built in such a way as to be able to guarantee the interception of the gas both for danger signals sent by gas detectors (methane, LPG, carbon monoxide and others) or safety thermostats, and for lack of voltage in the mains ( blackout). For greater safety, this solenoid valve can be reset only in the presence of mains voltage and only when the gas detector does not give danger signals. By simply powering the coil the valve does not open, you have to manually act on the reset mechanism
