The operating principle of the normally open EV131/136 solenoid valves is very simple and therefore extremely safe. The electromagnetic coil, if subjected to tension, releases the closing device of the valve which is normally open. The reset is manual to verify the causes of the gas interception. During normal operation there is no electrical absorption and therefore, in addition to energy saving, no parts are subjected to wear.
Normally open manual reset gas shut-off solenoid valves are suitable for gas shut-off for danger signals sent by gas detectors (methane, LPG, carbon monoxide and others), safety thermostats, etc.
They can only be rearmed manually and only when they are not electrically powered.
They are equipped with VPI (Visual Position Indicator) for visual signaling of the position of the valve actuator. When the valve is closed, the red band normally hidden by the reset knob is visible.
The RMOC NA versions are also equipped with a button for manual closing of the solenoid valve which can be used as a replacement element for a manually closing tap.
